Was vain and brash as the fight started, but got completely owned by the party, who didn't even break a sweat doing so. In retrospect Gottrod probably regrets his decision to land and try to kill the apparently-alone Vico.
Afterwards, the party dragged Gottrod's corpse back to Cauldron where they cut off his head and had the rest of the body assessed to see what could be made from it. Yggdrasil also used a speak with dead ritual twice to question and taunt Gottrod's spirit. They found out the approximate area of his lair - somewhere around the Haunted Village.
