Fang

Half-orc sheriff of Paradise.

Fang has black hair with streaks of grey. He is 6'4", 280 lbs., and tends to wear bland, unobstrusive colors (browns and greys). He is 45 years old but is still very muscular and in shape. He has numerous scars, limps slightly, and has a military style of speaking

Fang was born in an orc clan, the child of a human slave the clan had captured. His mother died shortly after he was born. He was bullied and abused as a child, but he accepted his fate until he had the chance to kill his father while he slept and escape. He found acceptance in a mercenary army, where he sharpened his fighting skills. He became part of a special strike force used to quickly dispatch an enemy general or captain. He was forced to retire after being seriously wounded in the leg by an archer, and still limps slightly.

He moved to Paradise and quickly became known as someone not to mess with, which caught the eye of the sheriff, a female half-orc named Jala. They had a son, Hofar.

Ten years later, Jala died while defending the town from hobgoblins. Fang decided to become the sheriff in her memory. While maintaining order in town, Fang typically wears his sword Hooktooth, a shortbow and studded leather armor, but he keeps a well-maintained set of heavy armor at home in case of emergency, leftover from his mercenary days.

Fang unofficially adopted Artanis and Huron after their parents were slain, and acted as a mentor/father figure for them while they were growing up, knowing the pain of being an orphan.
